Painting Flesh Workshop with Dorielle Caimi and Brett Andrus
Come learn the nuances of painting living skin with Dorielle Caimi and Brett Andrus. In this 6-day painting workshop, we will demo how to paint life-like human skin, while you will be completing two-three exquisite studies of your own. Images will be provided for students to choose from, as so much of the nuance of flesh tones is derived from the subtleties of blues, greens and warm tones, which all work and weave together to create the illusion of skin that is full of life.
We will be giving each student 4-6 hi-res photos of various body parts that illustrate an understanding of human skin's texture, color and composition. Each student should do 2-3 studies from these photos. These studies will be carefully and fully finished so that you can go home with a better understanding of figurative painting.
This workshop will help you master one of the most difficult aspect of figurative representational painting: skin.
